Tomorrow is the 30th. So I took down my now sad Christmas Tree.
Ode to the Christmas Tree
Ode to the Christmas Tree who's beauty was overwhelming.
The lights sparkling thru the night
Serving as a reminder of a once bright star
That brought wise men to bring gifts to a chosen child
Even thou this child lives within many today,
The Christmas tree has seen better days.
Until next year beautiful ornament

Christmas Part 3

Would you believe I am now on Christmas......... I spent Christmas at my cousin's in-laws house. Yes the same from Thanksgiving. We also welcomed Annette back this year from Oregon. We have a slow schedule for Christmas. America was trying to hurry every one along. She wanted to open the presents. We all wake up and opened stockings, ate breakfast , showered , then one by one opened hte gifts. Ella slept thru most of it but was awake for the last few.

Christmas Part 2

After all the programs and lights it was time for family. We went and visited my sister. Ended up spending the night due to our great weather conditions. But over all had a great time. Nothing like seeing family to remind you how much God has blessed your life.

Christmas Time Part 1

Dave Hegg

Dave Hegg

Today I get to say goodbye to a friend. He was in his second battle with cancer. I remember talking to him after he found out it was back and what he said touched my heart. He said that he was okay with dying. He lived his life. The only thing he wanted done was to fix up his car for his grandkids so they could drive it.I only knew him for 2 years but there were days I looked forward to seeing him. Now I still look forward to seeing him just in entirely different place. In a place with no cancer, no pain and best of all, in the arms of God. Until then, I'll miss him.

A Friend not forgotten

Raynell Joy Carpenter

A year ago I lost a dear friend. I didn't know her very long just over a year. She was called the "mc Donalds " lady . Everybody looked for when they came into Mc Donalds. ( I work at Mc Donalds). She always had a smile on the worst of days. And an ear for everyone she knew. She reminded me of my mother who I lost 20 years ago. She loved everyone unconditionally. You always knew if you needed a shoulder she was there.
At her funeral I defined her in one word LOVE I know she is safe in God's embrace. A Friend Never Forgotten

Thanksgiving Shananigans

I just wanted to leave a note about Thanksgiving. First of all I want to say thank you God for all the great people you surrounded me with and for my salvation. And a special thanks to Don and Karen for hosting the madness. Yeah, I said madness. 12 people including 3 toddler boys and a baby.Thank you to the Olhausers just for coming and Sue and Nathan for inviting me . No really we had a great time.Oh and a thanks to Karole for piddling around with us at Shopko. After that there was a sleep over consisting of the two that live there plus 9. We had to be there for early morning Christmas shopping. The women to shop the men to babysit.....The insanity....... Kohls , Fred Meyers, Wal*mart , K-Mart , Joanns and finally I H O P . We'll see you next year for the next round of insanity. All very exhausting. The next day I returned back to the Wood's house for Nathan's surprise B-Day party. Big 30. Not old I am 30. Just the beginning of a new decade of wonderful years. it was the first time I went Geocashing even thou I knew what the surprise was (Black Friday shopping) I had a blast. Lots of walking. Long weekend. But it being December there is many more to come..........
